Boerger mobile pump

Börger is renowned not only for its exceptional quality rotary lobe pumps, but also for their application in a variety of pumping applications. One such area is mobile pumps.

Börger mobile pumps are used for a wide variety of pumping tasks.  Whether in oil refineries, chemical plants, sewer rehabilitation or flooded areas – all mobile units have one thing in common: they are manufactured specifically for their respective areas of application.

A unique feature of the mobile pumps offered by Börger is that all the necessary equipment can be obtained from one place, thus ensuring the highest quality and convenience. Starting from the pump itself and ending with the trailers on which they are mounted, everything is designed and assembled in the factory in Germany.

Benefits of Börger mobile pumps:

  • Suitable for standalone use. The absolute majority of mobile Börger pumps are driven by a combustion motor, so our mobile pumps are suitable for standalone use in virtually any situation, even in very remote areas.
  • Powerful. Pumps can offer a flow rates of up to 1,440 m³/h or 24,000 l/min.
  • Individual high-quality control technology. The control technology is individually adapted to the fields of application and customers’ requirements.
  • Constant flow rate, even in high-pressure situations. Even in high-pressure situations (e.g. due to long pumping distances), the flow rate of Börger rotary lobe pumps remains constant.
  • Versatility. Rotary lobe pumps are resistant to solids, self-priming and capable of running dry for a short time. These capabilities make the pumps suitable for universal use.
  • Simplicity. The pumps are ready for use right away − connect the hoses and start the drive. Each mobile unit is configured and built individually. The pumps are very easy to operate. Also, they can be maintained within a few minutes at any given location, since most maintenance or repair work can be performed quickly, with conventional tools, without transporting the device to a workshop.

Trailer-mounted pumps

Perhaps the most popular type of mobile pumps are easily transported, mounted on a trailer or loadable on/off a trailer. Depending on the requirements, Börger pumps can be mounted directly on a trailer (car or tractor) or on a frame with special holes for forklift forks – this makes the pump easy to transport, move and load onto various trailers. There is also the possibility of installing special lifting rings on the pump frame body, which allow loading and unloading the pump with a crane loader.

Trailer modifications allow for a wide range of executions – this can be an open-type trailer, a trailer with an awning or a trailer with an additional roof, which will protect not only the pump itself, and the equipment located next to it, but also the pump operator from various weather conditions.

Since the pump is mobile and may have to be used in places where loud noise is not tolerated, the internal combustion engine driving the pump or the entire trailer can be equipped with an additional body with extra sound insulation.

Börger pumps can pump media with solid particles, but to ensure that too large particles of impurities do not damage the pumps and do not disrupt the pumping process, it is recommended to equip the pump with a grinder. It will also fit perfectly on the same trailer as other accessories that may be needed in the pumping operation too, for e.g. various connectors, hoses, pipes. Storage spaces in the trailer are modeled individually, considering all your needs.

Hand-transported cart pumps

There are various situations where pumping work needs to be done, but there is no possibility of using huge equipment, such as a car with a trailer on which a pump is installed. In such situations, a compact Börger pump, mounted on wheels and easily transported by hand without any additional equipment, can become an irreplaceable help.

Unlike pumps mounted on trailers, these compact and mobile pumps mounted on carts are not driven by an internal combustion engine, but by an electric engine – this saves both space and weight. There are exceptions to this rule, so there is a possibility to equip the pumps with other types of engines.

It is important to mention that these pumps on wheels can also be designed to meet the requirements of ATEX.

Tanker truck pumps

A large number of tanker trucks are on the road every day, transporting liquids. Local pumping stations for filling and emptying the tanker truck are not always available. The Börger rotary lobe pump is designed in such a way that it can be installed directly on the tanker truck.

Börger rotary lobe pumps are truly compact, so there will be no problems with their installation on a vehicle. If there is a need for the lowest possible weight, this can be considered in the pump design when choosing an aluminum pump casing.

Another advantage of rotary lobe pumps, which are very relevant in the context of tanker trucks, is the ability to perform pumping operations in both directions. This means that instead of 2 pumps (one for loading, the other for unloading), it is enough to install one pump on the vehicle that can perform both operations.

The flexible choice of engine types allows Börger mobile pumps to be adapted to various types of tanker trucks. The pumps can be driven by a hydraulic, electric engine or work directly from the power shaft.
