Rotary Lobe Pumps - as individual as your application
Börger rotary lobe pumps are the absolute flagship not only of this company’s products, but also of the entire market of pumps for thick or aggressive materials. This technology is recognized and appreciated as extremely advanced and reliable when pumping high-viscosity materials, and is therefore often known as the best or even the only solution in the food, chemical, agricultural or port handling industries.

Renta Pumps is proud to be the official representative of this manufacturer in Lithuania, able to offer its customers the highest quality products. Börger rotary lobe pumps are divided into BLUEline, BLUEline Nova and ONIXline product categories, but in fact each pump is unique, best meeting the needs of the customer. Only in exceptionally rare cases Börger pump is supplied to customers from the warehouse shelf, i.e. in a standard configuration, assembled before receiving the order. In most cases, each pump is assembled according to the needs of a specific operation, after finding out what operations and under what conditions it will be performed.
Börger rotary lobe pumps
In order to choose the most suitable Börger pump for you, you need to collect information about the desired performance, viscosity and chemical properties of the pumped material, solid particles, specifics of the pumping operation, pump installation position, drive motor type, environmental conditions. Depending on the data obtained, the pump casing size (of which there are as many as 21), rotor type and material, gasket type, installation location and drive motor type may vary – perhaps it is a submersible pump, perhaps mounted on a tanker truck, perhaps driven from the tractor’s power shaft, or perhaps with a usual electric motor.
Although it may seem confusing at first glance, this is a solid homework assignment that will allow you to enjoy the fruits of your Börger pump’s reliable work for years.
Advantages of Börger rotary lobe pumps:
- Wide choice of materials. The ability to adapt pumps to various areas of application begins with the fact that Börger can offer an extremely wide range of materials from which pump parts are made. Pump casing is made of gray cast iron (0.6025), nodular cast iron (0.7060), stainless steel (1.4409), duplex stainless steel (1.4517), steel casting (1.6220), Hastelloy, Aluminum cast (3.2371). The plates protecting the housing are made of 1.4462, 1.4539, 1.4571, 1.7225, 1.8714 metals and their castings and Hastelloy. An even wider choice of materials for the rotors, since they have direct contact with the pumped medium. They can be made of steel (1.4404, 1.4539, 1.7225, 1.8550, Hastelloy), CSM, EPDM, FPM, H-NBR, NBR, NR-SBR, PUR or PFA materials.
- Design solutions. Each application is unique – not only the pumped medium needs to be considered, but the space requirements as well as any other features. Börger can offer various pump installations: a pump with an electric motor on a metal frame, a pump with a hydraulic motor, a pump with a vertically mounted electric motor and etc.
- MIP (Maintenance in Place). The patented MIP mark of the Börger company means that rotary lobe pumps can be serviced and repaired at the place where they are installed and constantly in operation. This is one of the key arguments why the pumps of this manufacturer are so appreciated all over the world. Standard maintenance service for most Börger pumps can be carried out within 30 minutes. – this does not require any special tools, knowledge or strong preliminary preparation. In the long term, the costs for pumps are largely made up not of the purchase price of the pump, but of its repairs and the costs of operations stopped due to a malfunction. Considering that the service life of Börger is not calculated in years, but in decades, this is a very important factor. All rotary lobe pumps are easy to disassemble, parts are replaced quickly and without much physical effort, and only a few basic tools are required to perform this work.
